Important Cast Information!!

Hi everyone...

Here is some important information from our Hamilton Director, Cecilia, about next week - which is performance week... eeek! :) 

Next week is a big week and there is a lot happening - so make sure you are all up-to-date with all rehearsal information before the performances on Thursday 21st and Saturday 23rd. 

Tuesday 19th March - Lunchtime in the Drama room. ALL CAST from John McGlashan College required for rehearsal / meeting / photo shoot for Star article. Please be prompt!

Wednesday 20th March - 
  • Call time for all Dunedin cast is 6.20pm at OBHS Auditorium
  • Call time for Dunedin fiddler (Olive Butler) is 6.40pm at OBHS Auditorium  
  • End time for rehearsal - 9.50-10.00pm

 Thursday 21st March -
  • Call time for all cast and crew is 1.30pm. (All John McGlashan College students to make their way to OBHS after the lunch bell. Some parents to help with transport?)
  • Full dress rehearsal to finish some time mid-afternoon (exact time to be confirmed)
  • Break for late afternoon and eat early dinner
  • Call time for performance - 6.00pm OBHS . Show finished by 8.00pm

Saturday 23rd March - 
  • Call time for performance - 6.00pm OBHS . Show finished by 8.00pm

Some important things Cecilia (Director) wants passed on:
  • Please be prompt to all rehearsals and performances. Punctuality is very important!
  • Make sure you have eaten before rehearsal / performances and have plenty of water with you (named drink bottle)
  • Red Coats - need a white shirt or t-shirt - labelled and left at the theatre
  • Make sure you are all familiar with the running order of the show! A condensed list of all the scenes is listed further down in this blog
  • Be prepared for the odd change of things here and there - Wednesday will be a work in progress!! 
  • Remember this is fun stress - not bad stress! Theatre brings a lot of work - but we will make this work and create some theatre magic! 
  • Can you also be promoting theatre sales please - get people you know to buy tickets. Bookings can be made through: http://www.dashtickets.co.nz/tour/351

COSTUMES information

Here is some information on what you need to gather for costumes for the show...


Red Coats - Black pants, plain white shirt (no labels/monograms etc), black shoes (or bare feet if need be). Dark grey school trousers could pass... You will be given your Red Coat (it is coming down from Hamilton)

Bonnie Prince Charlie - Tyler - we've talked over already what you need to get. Please keep consulting the web:BPC photos
 

Jacobites - Bare feet, kilt, white shirt, 

Young Scottish Villagers - Bare feet, kilt (not St Hilda's as it is too light), plain white shirt (no monograms/labels etc)

Female Villagers - Long kilt, white blouse, shawl (they are bringing some down from Hamilton), bare feet

Rehearsals update.....

Had a wonderful and productive rehearsal with our Red Coats from Johnnies on Tuesday. Gregor came to lend a hand also and give us some weapons advice ;)

Had a fantastic meeting/rehearsal with four of our seven students from OBHS and our two girls from OGHS today at the Otago Boys' Auditorium. We are looking set! Great meeting the rest of our cast!

Remember:

 Wednesday 20th March - Blocking Rehearsal and at least two full runs
                                          6.00pm onward at OBHS Auditorium - make sure you've eaten 
                                          dinner before you come
                                          Should go until at least 9.30-10.00pm

Thursday 21st March - 1.30pm at OBHS Auditorium for all involved. 
Rehearsal all afternoon and then have a quick dinner.
Johnnies students to go to OBHS after lunch bell rings... can we get some parents to help ferry students to venue from school??
